We are looking for an experienced Senior Director of Account Management to join our team in Milan and lead the growth of our financial services client portfolio.
You will own the strategic client relationship in Italy and ensure long-term growth, delivery excellence and business transformation success for a leading global banking account.
You will be accountable for the overall health, growth and strategic direction of a major global banking client partnership. You will serve as the single point of accountability for client satisfaction, commercial performance and the orchestration of multi‑tower IT transformation programs. The role requires a blend of executive relationship management, business acumen and delivery governance to ensure that the client’s digital and technology modernization goals are achieved while driving sustainable growth and profitability for the service provider.
Responsibilities
- Together with the Global Client Partner, serves as the trusted advisor for the global banking client in Italy, aligning technology transformation initiatives with the bank’s strategic priorities and regulatory environment
- Develop and execute account specific multi-year account plans to expand footprint across cloud, digital, data and other transformational services
- Together with the head of Delivery, oversee program performance and service delivery across global engagements, ensuring contractual commitments, SLAs and quality standards are met
- Own the P&L for the account in Italy and drive significant revenue growth, profitability and cost optimization. Manage pipeline forecasting to ensure predictable delivery and revenue flow
- Further build and sustain C-suite and senior stakeholder relationships across business, technology and operations functions
- Proactively identify opportunities to deliver business outcomes — enhancing agility, resilience, compliance and customer experience through technology transformation
- Steer cross‑functional teams (delivery, consulting and partner ecosystem) to ensure integrated, high‑impact solutions and consistent client value realization
Requirements
- 10 years + of experience in strategic account development and growth within the financial services industry or managing client portfolios in Italy
- Deep understanding of banking, financial services, capital markets, emerging technologies and business models in Italy
- Strong communication and presentation skills in both Italian and English, with a proven ability to engage effectively with C‑suite executives and senior stakeholders
- Established network within the financial services and banking sectors in Italy, coupled with expertise in identifying opportunities to deliver added value through innovation and thought leadership
- Comprehensive knowledge of the key drivers, trends and regulatory frameworks shaping the banking industry in Italy
- Ability to align technology transformation initiatives with measurable business outcomes, such as efficiency improvements, enhanced compliance and fostering innovation
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate client needs, proactively respond to market shifts and navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems with diplomacy and integrity
- Proven leadership in inspiring and motivating cross‑functional teams to perform at a high standard and balancing strategic vision with hands‑on engagement when necessary
- Resilience and emotional intelligence, maintaining composure during challenging interactions, listening deeply, recognizing cultural nuances and stakeholder dynamics to ensure successful outcomes
