Job summary

Allianz is looking for a Data Scientist to join the team of the Chief Protection Officer in Italy. You will collaborate with business units to define data requirements, build robust data architectures and develop end-to-end data and AI solutions.

The role emphasizes data pipelines, model lifecycles, and scalable production processes. Ideal candidates bring 5-7 years in data science/engineering, strong Python/SQL skills, experience with PySpark or cloud platforms, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5-7 years of experience in Data Science/Engineering.
• Experience with large datasets and Big Data frameworks (PySpark) or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Proficiency in SQL and Oracle databases.
• Proficient in Python and core data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn).
• Experience designing and validating ML models and statistical algorithms.
• Experience using Power BI for reporting (nice to have).
• Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken).
• Strong communication and storytelling skills; able to explain complex models to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to work across multiple data lifecycle projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business teams to understand data needs and build architectures and data models.
• Manage data and AI model lifecycles from extraction to visualization.
• Build and maintain data pipelines transforming raw data into high-quality datasets for analytics.
• Maintain and improve production processes with scalable solutions.
• Contribute to R&D to integrate cutting-edge technical solutions.
