Moneyfarm is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines, enabling new product launches and data-driven decisions.

You will own the data infra for ingestion, orchestration and transformation, optimize Redshift, Airflow and DBT, and collaborate with analysts, engineers, and product teams to deliver robust data solutions.

Based in Milan or Cagliari, you will contribute to AI-powered capabilities and a strong data culture with growth opportunities.

Competenze

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering roles.
• BSc or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Experience in fintech / wealth management.

Mansioni

• Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of data infrastructure for ingestion, orchestration, and transformation.
• Build and maintain Moneyfarm’s analytical data models, ensuring they are performant, scalable, and reliable.
• Contribute to the incremental decommissioning of legacy components while ensuring data continuity for the business.

About the role

Data plays a central role in Moneyfarm’s success.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the incremental decommissioning of legacy components while ensuring data continuity for the business.

• Share best practices through code reviews and knowledge sharing, supporting the growth of the team.
• Work closely with analysts, software engineers, and product teams to solve complex data problems and deploy ML/AI applications.

Skills

• Deep proficiency in SQL and Python
• Meaningful experience with Airflow and DBT
• Strong experience with Redshift (BigQuery is a plus)
• Experience with AWS and familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
• Comfortable integrating AI tooling in daily work
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, also with non technical stakeholders
• Ability to translate business requirements into well-designed data solutions
• Comfortable working in iterative environments balancing quality and delivery
• Fluency in English is essential (most stakeholders are UK based).

This role can be based in our offices in Milan or Cagliari.

Level & Compensation

We apply CCNL Credito and based on candidate’s experience and skills, we will assign the title of Senior Data Engineer.

Salary range: €45,000 – €65,000 gross/year + bonus, based on experience/competences demonstrated
