Job Description:

Overview

As a Senior Business Development Manager (BDM), you will play a critical role in developing market strategies for Italy, leading and executing B2B business development and key account management within the pharmaceutical space.

We are flexible with the location of this role. Ideally, it is based in Teva Assago offices (Milan). A remote contract is also an option if the candidate is not nearby.

Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and analyze the responsible markets, developing strong strategies with the EU Cluster head.
  • Identify profitable portfolios and sales gaps, including strategic partnerships.
  • Monitor market trends to identify new opportunities for Medis.
  • Maintain oversight of current activities, follow sales strategies, and update the Cluster team regularly.
  • Organize market activities within the Cluster, managing daily operations and planning to meet KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the Cluster team to enhance profitability, growth, and reputation.
  • Drive commercial results aligned with budgets and regional sales goals.
  • Negotiate offers, new agreements, and amendments with customers.
  • Provide market intelligence on pricing strategies and amendments.
  • Review and advise on action plans for low-margin products and agreements.
  • Handle dispute resolution and settlement decisions.
  • Regularly review and update CV and JD to reflect the role accurately.
  • Perform additional tasks/projects as assigned by the EU Cluster Head.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Business, or related field.
  • At least 8 years of commercial experience.
  • Experience in contract negotiations and compliance is preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, legal/IP considerations is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong leadership and success-driven mindset.
  • High numeracy, analytical skills, and business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute commercial strategies from lead generation to sales.
  • Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills, delivering solutions on time and within budget.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-project environment within the pharmaceutical industry.
