Senior Brand Manager – Haematology/Oncology (Italy)

Japan Pharmaceuticals is seeking an experienced Senior Brand Manager to consolidate and further evolve the development and execution of the haematology/oncology brand strategy and operational marketing programmes in Italy. The role reports to the Business Unit Head and collaborates with cross‑functional partners across the organization as a key member of the Italian Brand Team.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the development and implementation of the commercial plan for haematology/oncology products in Italy to optimise current performance and launch readiness for future assets.
  • Based on robust market insights, develop key strategic priorities and maintain focus on the agreed priorities targeting all groups of HCPs.
  • Monitor the implementation of the product plan, course‑correcting where required, and anticipate future trends in market dynamics, therapeutic approaches and healthcare professional needs.
  • Build the reputation of Jazz Pharmaceuticals as a partner in haematology/oncology and build collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders and relevant societies.
  • Develop and implement programmes and materials that support field‑based professionals, from insights gathered through market research, customers and the field.
  • Ensure all internal and external materials and programmes are reviewed and approved in accordance with Jazz Pharmaceuticals procedures and meet the needs of our customers.
  • Manage Congress planning, CME/medical education planning and execution.
  • Operate within agreed budgets, ensuring optimal investment of promotional resources, and deliver effective financial planning and control in the preparation and execution of the plan.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure that planned expense estimates are accurate and regularly updated to reflect deviations from plan.
  • Manage external vendors/agencies and lead day‑to‑day operational projects to ensure high quality outputs and value for money.
  • Collaborate effectively with Sales, Medical and Market Access cross‑functional partners and drive and engage the overall organisation on product strategy and tactics.
  • Lead and challenge the organisation on product positioning, strategy implementation and tactics execution.
  • Provide insights and input into the development of the EUR/INT marketing plans and liaise with EUR/INT to share standard methodologies and market best practices.
  • Behave ethically, responsibly and professionally in accordance with Jazz Pharmaceuticals values and local codes of practice, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, codes, corporate standards and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Expertise in pharmaceutical marketing, ideally in haematology and/or oncology or specialty pharmaceuticals, with experience in an orphan or rare disease context a plus.
  • Understanding of medical aspects of the therapeutic area and willingness to develop in‑depth expertise.
  • Ability to function at strategic and operational levels with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach.
  • Proven ability to partner successfully with broad cross‑functional teams and drive projects forward to completion.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations to large groups.
  • Attention to detail and ability to understand, interpret and explain clinical data.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and inspirational, with excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Proven experience in launches in specialty/rare disease areas and the ability to set goals, priorities and meet challenging timelines.
  • Works well and delivers under pressure.
  • Good English level spoken/written.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (Life Science preferred).
