Job summary

Pragmatike is seeking a Senior/Lead Android Engineer to design and build high-performance Android apps that interact with a decentralized cloud platform. You will own mobile architecture, collaborate with backend, infra, and product teams, and drive secure, scalable mobile experiences.

Qualifications

• 5–6+ years of experience as a Senior or Lead Android Engineer.
• Strong Kotlin and Android SDK expertise.
• Experience with MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Deep knowledge of performance optimization and lifecycle management.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming (Coroutines, Flow).
• Data persistence with Room/SQLite and caching strategies.
• Experience with testing frameworks and Agile teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance Android applications using Kotlin.
• Architect scalable, maintainable mobile solutions with performance focus.
• Build intuitive, responsive UIs aligned with Android design principles.
• Integrate applications with backend services and distributed systems.
• Ensure offline support, data synchronization, and network resilience.
• Optimize apps for performance, memory, and battery efficiency.
• Maintain code quality with testing and documentation.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and delivery planning.
• Own the full mobile lifecycle from development to Play Store deployment.
• Collaborate with backend/infrastructure teams for seamless integration.
• Implement mobile security best practices and secure data handling.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor teammates, and uplift engineering standards.
• Drive Android architecture, CI/CD, and release processes.
