Job summary

Qonto in Italy is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to own product-critical features end-to-end — from discovery and technical design through rollout — in a large, modular Kotlin codebase where craft and velocity both matter.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend and Frontend, contribute to architecture decisions, mentor peers, and help raise the bar for quality across a 1,000-module mobile platform used by 600,000+ European businesses.

Qualifications

• Strong Android native experience with Kotlin and end-to-end ownership.
• Quality-driven mindset with testing (unit, UI, snapshot) and clean code.
• Ability to solve problems in ambiguous constraints with robust solutions.
• Daily use of AI coding tools to amplify output and accuracy.
• Collaborative by nature and fluent in English; contribute via reviews and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from discovery to rollout in a modular Kotlin codebase.
• Drive technical decisions in your squad across UX, performance, security and time-to-market.
• Improve architecture, performance, and test strategy to scale the app.
• tackle complex mobile challenges like real-time synchronization and resilience patterns.
• Grow the Android craft through code reviews and mentoring peers.
