Luxoft is seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our automotive software team. You will work on Android Automotive-based applications, translating product requirements into robust, high-performance features within a cross-functional environment.

You will fix defects, optimize the codebase, and contribute to an IVI platform built with Agile practices and CI. Strong Kotlin/Java, Android SDK, and knowledge of architecture patterns are essential.

Competenze

• Proven experience as an Android Developer with shipped applications.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java and Android SDK.
• Solid understanding of Android Architecture Components and common design patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, SOLID).
• Experience with Android Framework including Services, ContentProviders, IPC (Binder, AIDL, Messenger, Intents/Broadcasts).
• Knowledge of permissions model, lifecycle, memory management, OOM, and ActivityManagerService.
• App sandboxing and security fundamentals.
• Ability to analyze logs (logcat), use profilers, and debugging tools.
• Hands-on experience with Android Studio, Gradle, and Git.
• Understanding of embedded Linux concepts, shell, SELinux, and system-level aspects.
• Experience with Android Automotive OS, AAOS application models, HMI constraints, or Car APIs.
• Collaborative mindset and cross-functional teamwork.

In this role you will develop and refine Android Automotive-based applications as part of a large, cross-functional team. You will translate requirements into technically sound solutions while integrating with existing architecture and ensuring robust performance. You will work to fix defects and optimize the codebase, contributing to a modern IVI platform built with agile practices and continuous integration.
