Hermes Corporate seeks an experienced AI & HPC Infrastructure Engineer to operate, optimise, and evolve HPC infrastructure supporting advanced engineering workloads in Lombardy, Italy. This hands‑on role requires strong Linux expertise, GPU compute experience, and ownership of production platforms.

You will manage GPUs, storage, high‑speed interconnects, containers, and performance engineering, plus incident response, monitoring, and documentation.

Competenze

• Extensive Linux systems engineering / administration experience.
• Proven experience operating production HPC environments.
• Hands-on GPU compute infrastructure administration (NVIDIA stack).
• Experience containerising HPC workloads with multi-node scaling.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• End-to-end ownership of production infrastructure.
• Proficient in English.

• Administer and maintain GPU compute infrastructure and stack.
• Operate and optimise HPC clusters for reliability and performance.
• Define resource allocation policies for workload types.
• Manage containerised environments and user provisioning.
• Administer high‑performance storage and interconnects.
