A global engineering firm is seeking an experienced agronomist to support agro-energy projects in Milan, focusing on biofuel production and sustainable agriculture practices. The successful candidate should have a degree in Agronomy and at least 8 years of experience, with advanced English and Italian skills. Knowledge of ISCC certification is a plus. This position allows for remote work and includes collaboration with international teams.

RINA is seeking a highly motivated agronomist with experience in the sustainable agriculture & agro-energy sectors to support the team in the management and / or technical development of projects with focus on agro-energy, sustainable agriculture and biofuel production. Working in remote basis and in our Client’s headquarter in Milan, the successful candidate shall have strong interest in bioenergy, energy transition, decarbonization, circular and green economy topics, good communications skills and a strong teamwork attitude. Previous experience or interest in ISCC and ISCC EU certification standard would be a plus. Expected project duration is 12 months with possible further extension

Role :

• Participate in the Team activities in the framework of Agro-Energy projects with focus on the sustainable production of biofuels and sustainable agricultural practices
• Cooperation with technical teams for new technologies adaptation in several different situations and cooperation with farmers and colleagues for training assets and field assets
• Contribute to field decision and activities of crop and soil sampling for monitoring crop status, soil health and environmental status.
• Support the management of the entire supply chain, from the point of origin of the agri-feedstock to the obligated party, for the compliance with the ISCC EU principles
• Contribute to the evaluation of new agri‑feedstocks for biofuels, with particular interest in production of vegetable oils, and in the categorization within the European biofuels’ regulation framework
• Interact actively with international colleagues, partners, and customers to support the project technical activities
• Contribute to deliver high-quality technical reports and results
• Support the team in general management of the projects meeting client’s requests

Experience and Requirements :

• Degree in Agronomy
• The knowledge of ISCC Certification is a plus
• English and Italian advanced level; other languages knowledge will be a plus (especially French)
• Ability to write well structured, concise and well-reasoned reports, proposals and documents
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, proactive to meet short deadlines
• Previous experience of 8 years
• Availability for business trips within and outside the EU
• Interest and curiosity in energy and resource efficiency sector
• Advanced knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, Power Point
