Human Technopole in Milan is expanding its Finance Team and seeks a Senior Accounting Associate to oversee accounts payable, ensure accurate processing, timely payments and compliance with internal controls.

You will collaborate with Procurement and budget holders, maintain SAP and Namirial systems, support audits and drive process improvements. Italian fluency and 5+ years in accounting are required. The role is a permanent contract under CCNL Chimico Farmaceutico, Level C1, based in Milan.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in accounting or finance with AP focus.
• Advanced understanding of AP, reconciliations and controls.
• Fluency in Italian; good working English.
• Experience with SAP and Namirial ERP systems.

Mansioni

Within this mission, the Finance Department at HT is expanding and seeking professionals with specific expertise in accounting and tax related tasks.

We are seeking a motivated Senior Accounting Associate to support the activities of the Finance Team.

Your mission

As Senior Accounting Associate, you will oversee and support accounts payable processes, ensuring the accurate, timely and compliant execution of A/P activities. You will act as a key point of reference for reconciliations, invoice processing and discrepancy resolution, collaborating with internal stakeholders and contributing to process improvements and you will report to the AP Accounting Coordinator.

• Overseeing daily accounts payable activities, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely payments, reconciliations, and compliance with internal procedures.
• Resolving invoice, payment, and cost-allocation issues by collaborating with Procurement, Finance, budget holders, and other internal stakeholders.
• Maintaining and updating A/P systems (SAP, SDI, and Namirial), performing system checks, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and financial tools.
• Preparing documentation and reconciliations for internal and external audits, responding to auditor requests, and supporting compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Providing guidance on recurring A/P issues, managing vendor sub-ledger activities, and contributing to continuous process improvements across the accounts payable function.

Essential

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with solid exposure to accounts payable processes and reconciliations.
• Advanced understanding of accounts payable, reconciliations, and accounting controls.
• Strong familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP, and financial/accounting tools.
• Fluency in Italian, written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English.

Preferred

• Previous experience working within public administration organizations.

Organizational and social skills

• Ability to review complex transactions, identify discrepancies, and drive timely resolution.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability in meeting deadlines.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across Finance, Procurement, and operational teams.
• Proactive approach to process improvement and strengthening administrative controls.
