Who are you?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the AFC area of the Italian subsidiary, independently managing general accounting, financial closings, international taxation, and relations with the external accountant, external auditors, and the foreign parent company.
A strong hands‑on approach and solid experience in structured multinational environments are required.
Tasks and responsibilities :
Accounting & Financial Statements
- Full management of general ledger (GL) accounting
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Preparation of statutory financial statements and support to Group consolidated reporting
- Coordination with the external accountant and auditors (audit activities, requests, testing)
- Complex reconciliations, adjusting entries, and accruals
Taxation – Italy & EU
- Management of EU / foreign VAT : Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany
- Intra‑EU transactions, triangulations, goods movement
- Coordination with international tax advisors
- Monitoring of Italian and foreign tax compliance
Transfer Pricing
- Data collection, calculations, and TP documentation in line with Group policies
- Management of intercompany flows and reconciliations
Treasury & Cash Management
- Management of cash flows and bank reconciliations
- Monitoring credit lines and relationships with banking institutions
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
- Supervision of AR / AP activities
- Invoice control, delivery notes, purchase orders, and EU goods movement
- Aging reports and payment schedules
Reporting & Controlling Support
- Monthly reporting to the Parent Company
- Support to budget and forecast processes
- Financial analyses and KPI monitoring
Compliance & Processes
- Compliance with Group policies
- Support to internal controls (SOX / internal audit, if applicable)
- Continuous improvement of AFC processes
Must Have
- At least 7–10 years of experience in AFC / Senior Accounting roles
- Background in multinational companies (preferably trading, commodities, energy, logistics, oil & gas)
- Hands‑on knowledge of EU VAT, foreign VAT registrations, and triangulation schemes
- Experience working with external auditors
- Ability to prepare statutory financial statements and support the consolidated reporting
- Excellent Excel skills
- Fluent English (reporting to the Parent Company)
Nice to Have
- Experience in companies with an international supply chain
- Knowledge of international regulations (Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands)
- Familiarity with Transfer Pricing
- Hands‑on attitude and ability to work effectively in lean teams
