Qascom in Bassano del Grappa (VI), Italy, is seeking a Security Software Engineer to join the Security Engineering division. You will design, develop, test and implement security software for space missions and governmental services, with a focus on cryptographic solutions and security architectures.

You will work on key management, space communication protocols, and security services for satellite systems.

Competenze

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Computer Engineering.
• 2+ years of work experience as a software developer and designer in relevant domains.
• Experience with multi-threaded software design and cryptography knowledge.
• Solid understanding of software design principles.
• Proficiency in Rust or C++ and strong English skills.

Mansioni

• Design, development, testing, and deployment of space and ground systems, focusing on key management, protocols, applied cryptography, and security services.
• Support to the System Engineering activities including requirements analysis and flow-down.
• Drafting of technical documentation in compliance with ECSS, GSWS, CCSDS standards.

Qascom is looking for a Security Software Engineer to join our Security Engineering division in Bassano del Grappa (VI) Italy.

As part of the Security Engineering Team, the candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing and implementation of security software systems for space missions and governmental services. This includes the design of security protocol, security architectures and cryptographic solutions. The Security Engineering Team is involved in the newest cutting-edge projects of the European Space Agency ESA and the Italian Space Agency ASI, as well as supporting the major international industrial players of the sector.

What you will work on

• Design, development, testing, and deployment of space and ground systems, with particular focus on key management, telecommunication protocols for space applications, applied cryptography, and security services of satellite systems.
• Support to the System Engineering, including but not limited to requirements analysis, identification, and flow-down.
• Drafting of technical documentation in compliance to relevant standards (e.g. ECSS, GSWS, CCSDS, etc.)
• Security Risk Analysis and Assessment.

What do you need

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Computer Engineering.
• 2+ years of work experience as a software developer and designer in relevant domains (complex or networked software systems).
• Professional experience in the design and development of multi‑threaded software systems.
• Knowledge of applied cryptography(even if academic).
• Solid understanding of software design principles.
• Knowledge of Rust or C++ program languages;
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
