A leading technology firm in Milan is looking for a passionate Security Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will focus on complex security architectures and ensure the protection of critical infrastructures. Responsibilities include implementing security changes, troubleshooting network issues, and deploying security devices in a hybrid working environment. Candidates should have proven experience with Fortinet FW devices and strong knowledge of cloud security.

Hands on experience in networking, routing, and switching

Expertise in the security of cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Azure)

Experience in working in a datacenter environment

Experience with Juniper JunOS devices

English proficiency

Responsibilities

• Follow and perform the implementation of security changes on the infrastructure
• Troubleshoot issues on the network, with focus on the security ones
• Maintain the infrastructure to ensure smooth network operation
• Perform deployments of new network and security devices as well as entire new locations
• Help with the design or the engineering of new security solutions or big changes on the existing ones
• Work with other teams when needed by troubleshooting or implementations

Requirements

• Knowledge of common routing and switching concepts and protocols (STP.PVST, BGP)
• Proven experience in working with Fortinet FW devices (100F 200G/F 80F 501E 1800F,1100E)
• Good understanding of central management solutions for security devices (Fortimanager, Fortianalyzer, Forticlient)
• Hands on experience in networking, routing, and switching – control and monitoring of network infrastructure
• Expertise in the security of cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Azure), especially securing multi‑cloud networks and infrastructure
• Experience in working in a datacenter environment is desired (installation or cabling of network devices)
• Experience with Juniper JunOS devices is nice to have
• English proficiency

Certifications

• Fortigate Administrator (ex NSE4), FCP-NS and FCP-SO (ex NSE5) certifications or equivalent is desired
