SUSE is seeking a Security Certification Engineer in Italy to drive end-to-end certification projects, applying Linux and KVM-based virtualization expertise to build certified configurations and AI-enabled automation. You will translate certification body requirements and develop robust testing workflows in a collaborative, enterprise Linux/Kubernetes environment.

Competenze

• 5+ years in software product development, academia or FOSS communities.
• Expertise in Linux OS, hypervisor tech (KVM) and containerized virtualization.
• Proficient in Bash and Python; Ansible experience.
• Experience with Jira and Bugzilla; AI-assisted productivity workflows.
• Strong security knowledge including hardening, cryptographic standards and compliance.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Mansioni

• Build and test certified configurations, focusing on KVM-based architectures.
• Develop AI-assisted automation tools for certs and testing workflows.
• Translate certification bodies' requirements (NIAP, BSI, NIST) into engineering parameters.
