Demonstrated experience showing ability to support a squadron level Scheduling program. Additionally, demonstrated ability to use PEX, GTIMS, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar programs.

Job Summary:

Coordinate with senior squadron leadership on a daily and weekly basis to build long- and short-range schedules to ensure full coverage of all pilots and aircrew, instructors, evaluators, support personnel, and supervisor positions.

Essential Duties:
  • Plan and coordinate the flying schedule, incorporating required changes due to aircraft availability, weather limitations, aircrew medical issues, flight evaluation requirements, expiring event currencies, deployments, and student training continuity. Overseas locations require additional Host Nation (HN) coordination and compliance with localized procedures.
  • Build long- and short-range shift plans to ensure full coverage of all aircrew, instructor, evaluator, support personnel, and supervisor positions.
  • Keep track when crewmembers will be on leave, temporary duty, medical appointments, designated on Duty Not Involving Flying (DNIF) status and/or other commitments.
  • Track daily flight/ground/academic AF training requirements and accomplishments as directed by the DO, considering aircrew experience to mitigate Operational Risk Management (ORM). Report schedule updates to squadron and wing leadership.
  • Obtain aircraft and equipment availability data from MX and coordinate crewmembers for training, exercises, simulators, and operations as required by the Government.
  • Coordinate with Operations Support Squadron (OSS) Plans department, outside agencies/exercise participants and higher headquarters (HHQ) as required.
  • Attend weekly special use airspace meetings, planning/coordinating airspace restrictions meetings, and monthly range use meetings for coordination and de-confliction.
  • Create, submit and file DD Forms 1801, DoD International Flight Plan, Diplomatic Clearances (DIPs), Altitude Reservations (ALTRV), and any other HN or local procedure forms required for flying operations to the Government directed POC and in the squadron directed system. Contact appropriate agencies to ensure short notice DIP clearances are provided as required.
Salary

The projected salary range for this position is $60,000-$75,000 and is based on experience and contractual requirements. However, this is not a guarantee of salary.
