Sales & Project Engineer

for a client company operating in the pressure vessels sector.

Job Description

We are seeking a professional to drive sales and project coordination activities with European clients and partners in the Energy and Chemical Industry, including but not limited to End Users, EPC Contractors, Technology Licensors, Project Developers, etc. This role focuses on business development, customer relationship management and project coordination for the company’s pressure vessel manufacturing and modular EPF (engineering, procurement, fabrication) business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage new clients and project opportunities in Europe with deep understanding of the company’s technical characteristics and connections in the industry network.
  • Participate in industrial events to explore potential customers and projects, improving market awareness by presenting the company at selected exhibitions/forums.
  • Improve customer relationships by providing professional and localized sales & project coordination service; gain access to insight information during the project bidding stage to improve win rate of biddings, and build and maintain strong top‑management connections with European customers and partners.
  • Follow up front‑end and firm project opportunities, manage proposals and clarifications with support by the Asian headquarters sales team.
  • Visit clients on a routine basis to maintain and improve network quality and depth within the client’s organization.
  • Support communication with clients for after‑sales requests.
Project Management & Coordination
  • Support project meetings led by the project manager to improve communication quality and efficiency when necessary.
  • Apply strong communication skills and problem‑solving thinking for this function.
  • Assist the project manager to negotiate with the client for change orders, liquidated damages for delay/quality.
  • Support the project / procurement manager for coordination meetings with European local.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of working experience in the chemical/energy industry; background in EPC contractor, process licensor or pressure vessel manufacturer is preferred.
  • Experience in sales or project management in previous positions.
  • Knowledge of ASME VIII, PED 2014/68/EU, EN 13445 and other relevant standards for pressure equipment.
  • Proficiency in engineering documentation (e.g., P&ID, datasheets, drawings, specifications, etc.).
  • Mechanical or Process Engineering background is preferred.
  • Italian (native) and fluent English (written/spoken); additional European languages are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across Europe and occasionally to global project sites.

Employment Terms

Full time from Monday to Friday with the possibility of some days of remote working. CCNL Metalmeccanico, level and RAL will be commensurate with the candidate's actual experience. Permanent contract directly with the company. Lunch tickets, which are 8 euros, for each day worked. Business travel allowance.
