SALES MANAGER

Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como’sSales Manageris responsible for, but not limited to,the resort’stotal revenue goals and quality targetsandsupports the Director of Marketing and Commerce inestablishingthe resort within local and international markets and securing transient, group and banqueting business for long lasting relationships with key agents and clients.

Duties andresponsibilities:
  • SupportMOHGphilosophy and culture daily to ensureguests’satisfaction and theachievement of our Mission
  • Analyze local market trends and develop new business leads
  • Handleandqualifytheproposal and follow-up of transient, group and banqueting enquiries and actively engage with clients to maximizetheconversion of business
  • Ensure a“sales approach”in every lead, customizing offers and ensuring that a luxury and positive attitude is always guaranteed
  • Participate in external sales appointments, trips,fairsand tradeshowswhenrelevant forthe specificmarket segment
  • Participate in local events and sales calls, including property site inspections
  • Demonstrate proactivity to bring back former clients andacquirenew ones
  • Follow internal financial policies, managingand verifyingclient payments and outstanding balances
  • Use systems to pull out reports and analyze figures and data consistently
  • Enrichtheexisting database, ensuring time efficiency and data accuracy as per MOHGpolicies
  • Attend daily departmental meetings
  • Meet theobjectivesas set by the Company
  • Communicate and cooperate with all departments asrequiredacross the hotel and the whole Company
  • Follow company grooming policies
Requirements:
  • At least a3-years experiencein a similar position within theluxuryhospitality industry
  • Fluent in English and Italian. Other languages areconsidereda plus
  • Creative thinking and bespoke approach toguests’requests and needs
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package
