About the Client and Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding company in the renewable energy and energy storage sector, is seeking a Sales Manager to drive market growth and commercial success within the Utility Scale energy storage channel. This role is responsible for developing the business pipeline, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring project success from acquisition to delivery. The successful candidate will act as the primary interface between the company, its clients, and industry partners, supporting the company’s strategic goals for market expansion and revenue growth.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales and market strategies to expand the company’s presence in the energy storage sector, with a focus on contract acquisition and revenue management.
  • Identify and build a strong pipeline of new business opportunities by assessing project requirements and market demand.
  • Monitor market developments and competitor activities to inform pricing strategies, product positioning, and potential product innovation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers through regular engagement and on‑site visits to understand and meet their business needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure projects meet performance, timeline, and budget expectations.
  • Serve as the company’s local representative, managing communications and fostering trusted partnerships with customers and external stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales or Business Development within the renewable energy or energy storage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the energy storage ecosystem, including experience working with EPCs, IPPs, and major market players.
  • Solid technical understanding of energy storage systems or power systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Native‑level Italian and advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Strong sense of accountability and ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50–60%) within Italy as required by project and customer needs.
