We are looking for a/an Sales Engineer Service division to join our Services_EUA team in Italy.

We are seeking a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial Sales Engineer to join our team in Italy. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a hunter mindset, passionate about uncovering new opportunities and driving business expansion. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with strategic sales capabilities to strengthen Sulzer’s market position and deliver customer value.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Italy with a proactive, hunter approach (Products – services for pumps, steam turbines and centrifugal compressors)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Understand customer needs and translate them into tailored technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal tendering, engineering and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage the full sales cycle.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline and consistently exceed sales (OI) targets.Travel extensively across the territory to engage with clients and uncover growth potential.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in rotating machinery or industrial equipment.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and track record of driving business growth.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / CRM System like Salesforce.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Proximity to our Casalecchio di Reno office will be a plus, but will be evaluated also applications coming from other parts of Italy, as working location can be flexible for this position.
