Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Site Health and Safety Manager for Monfalcone, Italy. You will define and update site safety rules in line with Westinghouse direction and Italian laws, leading a small team of safety engineers (RSPP, ASPP) and reporting to the Site Leader.

The role is onsite and involves ensuring ongoing training and safe operations. You will oversee daily safety walks, guide on-site leaders, collect improvement ideas, and liaise between site and corporate safety

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• 8+ years of operations, RSPP, Safety experience in workshops.
• Execution leadership experience and cross-functional coordination.
• Intermediate English competency at B1.

Mansioni

• Provide direct leadership to the safety engineers team and ensure rules are clear and updated.
• Perform daily shop walkdowns to verify safety compliance.
• Guide on-site leaders and managers regarding Safety rules.
• Collect worker and supervisor input for safety improvements.
• Serve as the central liaison between site and corporate Health and Safety functions.
• Represent the Italian entity before the Italian administration.
• Review investments and contracts for adherence to procedures.
• Maintain emergency and safety procedures and ensure training.
• Arrange appointments for safety-related or emergency situations.

About the role

As a Monfalcone Site Health and Safety Manager you will manage the definition and update of the Site Health and Safety rules. You will assure that you consider the Westinghouse direction and the Italian national laws in the definition of the Site safety procedures. You will also detail the plan to constantly increase the Safety awareness of the supervisors and the plant employees. You will be responsible for the safety engineers (i.e. RSPP, ASPP) of the site. You will report to the Site Leader and be located at Monfalcone, Italy. You will also manage a team of 2. This is an onsite role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership to the team of safety engineers to be sure rules are clear, understood and updated
• Perform daily shop walkdowns to assure safety rules are respected
• Provide direction to the on-site leaders and managers on Safety rules
• Collect suggestions on safety improvements from the workers and supervisors
• Be the central connection point between the site and the corporate functions for what relates to Health and Safety
• Represent the Italian legal entity in front of the Italian administration
• Review investments and contracts to be sure they are following the applicable procedures
• Maintain the emergency and safety procedures and assure everyone is trained
• Assure appointments for safety-related or emergency situations are clearly identified

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• 8+ years of operations, RSPP, Safety experience in workshops
• Experience leading safety programs.
• Execution leadership experience
• Cross-functional coordination
• Intermediate English competency at B1

The gross base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 59,000 to 75,100 per year.
