PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Perform the activities, under the governance/guidance of the Program Safety Assurance Manager (PSAM), related to safety assurance in the Projects and Programs. Activities can be related to Project, System, Software, Hardware domains.
- Deliver safe solutions (Program and Projects)
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate all the Safety Assurance activities on the project / system / product as per Safety process defined in Signalling Safety Instruction
- Perform Safety analysis, manage Hazard Log, review V&V, T&C activities from a Safety perspective
- Define safety plan and manage safety workload and associated planning
- Support tenders and/or RC teams to integrate product/system in projects
- Build the Safety Reports and/or the Safety Cases
- Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project / system / product
- Organize and attend periodic Safety Reviews
- Defend Safety Case argumentations in front of internal (QS, Safety Assessor) and external (ISA) assessors; define and follow‑up action plans to close the findings of the assessors
- Manage (if any) the Safety Assurance Engineers involved on the project / system / product (Internal or external resources)
- If identified as Safety Leader for a Safety Issue, manage 8D steps as per process
- Support actions contributing to close the findings of the assessors (Internal or External)
Essential Skills & Experience
Preferable:
- Mastering CENELEC Standards for Safety (or equivalent standards AREMA, IEEE, etc ) and safety methodology & concepts/principles
Mandatory:
- Educational Requirements : University Degree level in Electronics/Telecommunications/Software Engineering/Computer science or equivalent)
Can be a beginner in safety but, depending on the domain, specific experience is required on system, data preparation, hardware or software domain
