Purpose
Introduce into the Pomini Technical Office a professional figure dedicated to verifying the compliance of all Pomini products with the Machinery Regulation 2023/1230, i.e., ensuring that products adhere to applicable safety standards in Pomini's target markets and managing the creation and maintenance of the Technical File in all its parts, including "communicative" technical documentation (User and Maintenance Manual, Operator Manual, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Verify product compliance with the Regulation and applicable local, European, and international standards, from the design phase through commissioning.
- Prepare Risk Analysis in accordance with applicable standards.
- Calculate Performance Levels for safety circuits.
- Monitor the status of applicable standards, both in terms of revisions and new releases.
- Where applicable, analyze the customer's regulatory framework, focusing on critical aspects regarding quality, safety, cost, lead times, and delivery.
- Interface with external consultants with specific expertise in safety or regulations applicable in various countries.
- Draft and maintain the Technical File for all Pomini products, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and traceability of all documents.
- Draft, maintain, and archive User and Maintenance Manuals and Operator Manuals in accordance with applicable standards.
- Supervise manual drafting activities carried out by external collaborators and review their documentation.
- Participate in machine safety testing and inspection activities, both in our workshop and at external suppliers, and occasionally at customer sites.
- Participate in commissioning, troubleshooting, and machine start-up activities at customer sites.
- Handle technical communication with customers.
- Attend customer meetings and possible site visits.
Profile description
- Degree: Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering. We are particularly interested in candidates who meet most of the following requirements.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of one or more 2D design tools; proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of one or more 3D design tools; proficiency in Inventor is essential.
- Familiarity with the concept of PLM (Product Life Management).
- Familiarity with management software; knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Knowledge of at least one CMS (Content Management System), particularly PDSVision ARBORTEXT.
- Familiarity with UNI EN ISO 16089:2015 standard.
- At least 5 years of experience as a safety engineer and/or technical communicator.
- Solid technical knowledge in machine and plant design; experience in the machine tool sector will be considered a plus.
- We are looking for a practical person with strong synthesis, planning, and coordination skills. The resource must use their knowledge and experience to achieve the objectives described above and be able to coordinate the activities of both colleagues and external collaborators (consultants).
- Since this role will interact daily with colleagues from the office and other departments (especially Production and Total Quality), an open personality inclined to teamwork, dialogue, and collaboration is required.
- Good reading, writing, and speaking skills in English are essential.
