SoftServe is seeking a Senior Robotics Architect to join a long-term initiative in Bolzano, Italy. You will define and own the technical architecture for complex robotics solutions across mobile robots, arms, drones, and AMRs, collaborating with AI, cloud, and embedded teams.

You will lead end-to-end delivery from prototyping to production-ready systems, drive standards, and engage with clients through workshops and architecture presentations. Fluent English required; Italian locale preferred.

Competenze

  • Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in robotics system architecture and end-to-end solution design.
  • Expert proficiency in C++ and/or Python, building production-grade robotics software.
  • Strong experience with ROS2 and defining standards and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience across robotics domains: mobile robots, arms, drones, autonomous systems.
  • Deep knowledge of SLAM, sensor fusion, localization, mapping, and motion planning (MoveIt2).
  • Experience with simulation environments (Isaac Sim, Gazebo).
  • Strong background in control systems, real-time computing, hardware-software co-design.
  • Familiarity with cloud and IoT ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of industrial/embedded ecosystems (ARM, STM32, RTOS, PLC, SCADA).
  • Experience in multi-robot and multi-vendor integration environments.
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking mindset with solid mathematical foundation.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to present to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in technical pre-sales (solution design, workshops, client engagement).
  • Leadership experience mentoring engineers and guiding technical direction.
  • Advanced English proficiency for daily communication.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will join a long-term initiative in collaboration with a globally recognized industry leader. The project focuses on advancing physical AI and multi-fleet management systems, aimed at significantly enhancing the performance and efficiency of outdoor vehicles. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of robotics, AI, and real-world hardware, where solutions go beyond simulation into practical application. The team is involved not only in building new capabilities but also in retrofitting existing systems with intelligent components, bringing innovation to already deployed equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIE
  • Define and own the technical architecture for complex robotics solutions across domains (mobile robots, robotic arms, drones, AMRs)

REQUIREMENT
