Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Monfalcone, Italy, is seeking a Robot Welder to control automated welding processes and contribute to nuclear fabrication. Reporting to the Nuclear Fabrication Manager, you will work in three shifts and ensure quality, safety, and compliance at the Monfalcone site.

The role requires a technical diploma in mechanics/mechatronics, WPS familiarity, and fluency in Italian and English (min. B1).

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in mechanics/mechatronics.
• Familiarity with WPS (Welding Process specifications).
• Availability to work in three shifts: 6:00–2:00, 2:00–10:00, 22:00–6:00.
• Knowledge of Italian and English languages (min. B1).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and operate welding robots according to WPS and production specifications.
• Program or adjust welding parameters (paths, speed, cycles).
• Visually inspect weld quality and report defects.
• Perform minor routine maintenance and cleaning on the robot and equipment, with maintenance collaboration.
• Manage equipment changeovers and ensure correct component positioning.
• Prepare progress status reports.
• Comply with safety, quality, risk and security procedures.

About The Role

The primary function for the Robot Welder is to control the automated welding process.

You will report to the Nuclear Fabrication Manager and be located in Monfalcone site.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and operate welding robots according to WPS and production specifications;
• Program or adjust welding parameters (paths, speed, cycles);
• Visually inspect weld quality and report any defects;
• Perform minor routine maintenance and cleaning on the robot and equipment, in collaboration with the maintenance department;
• Manage equipment changeovers (fixtures, jigs, torches) and ensure correct component positioning;
• Prepare progress status reports;
• Comply with company procedures (safety, quality, risk and security).

Qualifications:

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in mechanics/mechatronics;
• Familiarity with WPS (Welding Process specifications);
• Availability to work in three shifts: Monday to Friday – Shift 1: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Shift 2: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and Night Shift: 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
• Knowledge of Italian and English languages (min. B1 level).
