Reserve Account Executive – Milan (Diageo)

Join Diageo, the world’s leading premium drinks company, as a Reserve Account Executive in Milan. The role focuses on driving sell‑out of our iconic brands across 180 countries by ensuring execution of customer, category and brand plans in store and outlet.

Responsibilities
  • Identification and segmentation of outlet universe: Identify all outlets falling in the description above within the assigned territory.
  • Assign outlets to relevant outlet category based on segmentation guidelines and record them through the CRM tool.
  • Visit outlets in the assigned territory based on call frequency established for the relevant outlet category.
  • Driving distribution of Diageo brands: Identify partnership opportunities with outlets in the assigned territory.
  • Working closely with the Account Manager and the distributor’s sales team, identify distribution, pouring and activation opportunities in the area.
  • Negotiate pouring, distribution and activation agreements based on company guidelines.
  • Implementation of executional standards: Priority sales drivers for relevant outlet category are driven in line with minimum and magnificent store standards as defined by customer marketing.
  • Promotional Activities for our brands are implemented detailed, in line with Diageo Europe activity calendar. Ad hoc incremental opportunities are identified.
  • In‑outlet performance and execution levels are accurately supervised and measured in CRM system.
  • In case of non‑compliance, identify and drive corrective actions.
  • Teamwork: Working in coordination with the Account Manager of the territory in order to identify partnership opportunities with outlets served by wholesalers relevant for the RTC in the territory.
  • Reporting line is to the Regional Manager for the area.

  • Commercial relationships; You need to able to optimally influence Diageo customers to achieve win‑win outcomes building long‑term mutual profitable relationship.
  • Executional attitude; deliver vs predefined targets and pursue additional opportunities.
  • Flexible communication style; Based on the type of buyer you need to be able to adapt to a most effective style.
  • Quick learner; In order to promote the broad portfolio of products in the most effective way, you need to be able to absorb skills and knowledge quickly.
  • Willingness to work evenings and nights on a regular basis.
  • 2 years of Sales Experience is a strong plus (On trade is the preferred channel).
  • Italian & English proficient.
