Job summary

ISAC - Institute of Atmospheric and Climate Sciences, Roma Branch of CNR, seeks a postdoctoral researcher to advance geophysical parameter retrieval from satellite data. The candidate will apply inversion techniques, develop ML-based methods, and work with NetCDF/HDF/GRIB formats in Linux environments.

Excellent English is required; applicants must submit a research proposal aligned with the SPEACH project. The position is 36 hours per week, temporary in nature, and based in Italy.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in Mathematics, Physics, Remote Sensing, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Excellent proficiency in English.
• Strong expertise in inversion techniques and ML with EO datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply inversion techniques to retrieve geophysical parameters from satellite observations.
• Work with EO datasets in NetCDF/HDF/GRIB and implement ML-based retrieval methods.
