Job summary

ThreatDown is seeking an MDR Platform Engineer to maintain and enhance our security platform used by the MDR delivery team. You will build custom tools, extend SIEM and SOAR features, and support analysts in detecting threats for our growing managed services practice.

Based in Italy with remote work options, you will collaborate with Engineering to design integrations, write new Python components, and maintain thorough documentation while shaping platform requirements with Product Management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years implementing security platforms.
• 2+ years developing desktop or web applications.
• Experience with platform SDKs.
• Experience applying AI implementations.
• Proficiency in Python.

Responsibilities

• Drive the MDR platform development lifecycle.
• Design, architect, and improve MDR platform integrations.
• Design, write, test, and implement new SIEM rules and SOAR playbooks for MDR.
• Design and build components for internal Python libraries.
• Work with the ThreatDown Engineering team to resolve service issues.
• Maintain documentation for scripts, integrations, and workflows.
• Partner with MDR Product Management to gather requirements for the platform.
