Job summary

Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.A. in Parma, IT, seeks an experienced Maintenance Director to lead the site maintenance organization, ensuring reliability of production equipment and facilities.

You will drive maintenance excellence, safety, and continuous improvement in collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and HSE. The role demands deep experience in pharmaceutical maintenance, strategy deployment, budgeting, and team leadership within GMP environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance management and asset lifecycle.
• Proven experience in planning, strategy deployment, and resource allocation.
• Experience collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and HSE.
• Hands-on investigations, deviation management, CAPA implementation, and change controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site Maintenance organization and ensure availability of resources and capabilities.
• Define and improve maintenance strategy, standards, and SOPs.
• Plan and oversee preventive, predictive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance.
• Provide leadership and professional development to maintenance staff.
• Collaborate with Operations/Engineering to support production needs and shutdowns.
• Monitor KPIs and drive actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Lead investigations and CAPA activities for equipment issues.
• Interface with multiple site functions to align priorities.
• Manage budgets, contracts, and external service providers.
• Ensure CMMS usage and proper maintenance documentation.
