RemoteJobsOne is seeking a CNC Machinist for a fully remote contractor role, open to candidates in Italy. The position centers on operating and setting up CNC machines, interpreting drawings, and collaborating with CAM programmers to optimize setups.

You will work with both hobbyist and industrial CNC platforms, applying your skills to ensure dimensional accuracy and high-quality parts while communicating clearly in English.

Competenze

• 5+ years hands-on CNC machining experience, set-up and production.
• Experience with Haas control systems (VF-2 or similar).
• Able to read blueprints and GD&T; proficient in measurement tools.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Mansioni

• Set up and operate CNC machines across multiple platforms, including desktop and industrial models.
• Load and verify CNC programs, install tooling, configure work-holding, and set work offsets for various projects.
• Run first-piece cycles, inspect machined parts against drawings, and adjust setups to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and diagnose issues such as tool wear, chatter, or dimensional drift.
• Utilize precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, CMM) to validate parts and ensure specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T callouts, and manufacturing documentation to guide part production.
• Collaborate and provide feedback to CAM programmers and other stakeholders on setup optimization and manufacturability.
