About The Role
As a pivotal member of the Peripheral Interventions (PI) division, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for Interventional Oncology (IO) plays a critical leadership role in accelerating commercial success across the assigned region. Reporting to the IO National Sales Manager (NSM) you will lead a team of Account Managers (AMs) to achieve franchise-specific targets, elevate customer partnerships, and drive impactful regional strategies. This role blends high-performance team development, market expansion, and execution of complex go-to-market initiatives tailored to local dynamics. The appointed Regional Sales Manager will lead the Central-Northern Italy area.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with national goals and the broader PI division vision.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to evaluate performance, identify gaps, and implement improvement plans.
- Identify local opportunities to expand the IO portfolio’s reach and optimize sales force impact.
- Collaborate with Marketing to execute impactful campaigns, reinforce IO value propositions, and support product launches.
- Lead, coach, and inspire the regional IO sales team (AMs and FCSs), ensuring clear role accountability and high performance.
- Provide consistent field support through coaching, development plans, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Partner with the broader PI field and national teams to align strategies and maximize cross-franchise synergies.
- Support Key Account Management (KAM) efforts with strategic customers, ensuring unified messaging and execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, etc.) to shape and deliver integrated customer solutions.
- Monitor regional trends, competitive activity, and evolving customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
- Deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders to shape future programs and investments.
- Ensure the team maintains up-to-date knowledge of IO therapies, procedures, and reimbursement dynamics.
- Build and sustain meaningful relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinical stakeholders, and procurement influencers.
- Champion the development of customized value-based and bundled solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Represent Boston Scientific in key negotiations and educational events to deepen market presence.
- Ensure full adoption of Salesforce CRM for pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking.
- Leverage CRM data to optimize resource deployment and performance monitoring.
- Promote a strong culture of quality, ethics, and regulatory compliance across all activities.
- Ensure all field interactions meet Boston Scientific’s corporate integrity and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a sales management role, ideally within the healthcare or MedTech industry.
- Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Nursing, Business, or a related field.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
- Proven track record in leading high-performance teams in a matrixed and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the interventional oncology, radiology, or peripheral interventions space.
- Deep understanding of capital equipment and consumable sales models.
- Familiarity with the hospital procurement landscape and reimbursement frameworks.
