In September of 2024, SKF announced the separation of its Automotive business, with the objective of building two world‑leading businesses. Here’s your opportunity to play a key role in IT/OT security within the automotive industry. If you are interested in protecting critical operations and enjoy working where technology meets production, this role is for you.

As Regional IT/OT Security Coordinator EMEA, you will act as the operational link between the global CISO office and local sites, turning global standards into practical solutions that enhance resilience across a portfolio of manufacturing plants.

In this position, you will coordinate essential security activities such as network segmentation, vendor access, vulnerability management, and backup strategies. You will support audits like TISAX, assist in incident response, and provide insights that help shape global security priorities. Acting as a global facilitator with a regional focus, you will ensure alignment between central functions, site teams, and partners, maintaining visibility and follow‑up across all activities through regular site visits.

If you thrive on building effective relationships, solving complex challenges, and bringing structure to adaptive environments, this is your chance to develop your skills and enhance the security of automotive operations.

What you can expect in the role
  • Incident Response & Communication: You will manage and support investigations of IT/OT security incidents with SOC and site teams, providing OT context for triage, containment, and recovery. Clear communication with stakeholders is essential, and you’ll ensure lessons learned are captured and integrated into playbooks and standards.
  • Asset Management & Audit Evidence: You will facilitate IT/OT asset data collection and maintain accurate OT security evidence packs for each site. These must stay current and reusable for audits such as TISAX, customer assessments, and internal reviews.
  • Policy, Governance & Risk: You will enforce global IT/OT security policies at site level, identify and elevate regional risks, and provide feedback to ensure guidelines are practical. Supporting local management in understanding security requirements and responsibilities is a key part of this role.
  • Network Segmentation & Remote Access: Working with IT, OT, and network teams, you will coordinate Purdue‑aligned zoning and firewall rules, review proposed changes, and govern remote and vendor access solutions. All activities must align with global security policies and Automotive standards.
  • Vulnerability, Patch & Backup Coordination: You will oversee OT vulnerability management with central teams, ensuring realistic patching and remediation plans. Critical OT systems must have defined backup and recovery procedures, with regular restore tests documented.
  • Security Knowledge & Stakeholder Engagement: You will support security aspects of regional projects and respond to customer inquiries about site‑level security posture. Promoting IT/OT security awareness, building trusting relationships, and acting as a feedback channel to the CISO office are essential for effective engagement.
You will enjoy working here if you have
  • Relevant academic background in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in information security, OT security or industrial networking, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Good understanding of OT architectures and technologies such as PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, industrial networks and common industrial protocols.
  • Experience working with security standards and frameworks such as IEC 62443, ISO/IEC 27001 or TISAX, and applying them in operational environments.
  • A willingness to travel around the main factory in Europe
