A leading data infrastructure company in Milan is seeking a Regional Construction Manager to oversee construction projects focusing on time, safety, and quality. The role involves collaborating with design teams, managing project risks, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate has a BS degree in construction management and at least 4 years of experience in project management in critical infrastructure environments. This position is full-time and on-site.

You will support the Development and Construction department in overseeing and coordinating projects with a high focus on time, safety, quality and cost optimization. This role will assist with improving the conception, definition and execution of our construction projects and be based on site full-time while maintaining best practices and clear roles & responsibilities for any consultant support. You will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely construction progress schedules and monitor job progress to assure timely completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with design teams and actively participate in the design and pre-construction phases. Ensure timely issuance of design and commercial deliverables.
  • Follow-up on construction works and design/construction and commissioning meetings.
  • Collaborate with Safety department on the technical, operative, and organizational activities according to Italian law and best practices.
  • Prepare regular reports for stakeholders, including progress updates and risk management.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with design, client expectations and safety regulations.
  • Understand the entire supply chain for your project, including vendors, GCs, and subcontractors. Foster strong relationships and act as a liaison between project teams and the supply chain.
  • Identify and manage project risks, developing clear strategies for risk mitigation. Proactively address challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with your peers across EMEA to continually assess, align on and improve the delivery methodology.
  • Schedule, prepare agendas and lead regular project meetings and other meetings as required.
Qualifications
  • BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of proven experience in project and construction management that will include critical Infrastructure for Datacentre, Pharmaceutical, Bio‑tech, Petrochemical or similar environments.
  • In‑depth knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practices.
  • International academic or work experience is a plus.

  • English is a must and another language would be a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills, high emotional intelligence, and a proven track record in leading, managing and developing teams.
  • Promote and model an attitude of continuous improvement, partnership, and teamwork in behaviors and communications.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages.
  • Microsoft Office (focused on Excel and Power Point), CAD, Microsoft Project, Primavera, Project Management professional tools, etc.
  • Problem‑solving attitude with a crucial ability to meet deadlines, strong planning, and organizational skills.
