Hitachi Rail is seeking a Telecom System Integration Engineer in Naples, Italy. You will lead end-to-end management of the OnBoard Passenger & Information System (OBIS) and related ICT infrastructure, configuring operating systems, networks and onboard devices, and supporting commissioning and maintenance activities.

The role requires strong Linux/Windows system administration, networking, and scripting skills, plus experience with REST APIs and telecom protocols.

Competenze

• Master’s Degree in Information Engineering (or equivalent in ICT, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or Electronics).
• Strong technical background in system administration, networking, and distributed architectures.
• Experience managing Linux (Oracle/RHEL) and Windows Server platforms, including troubleshooting, scripting, log/packet analysis, and HA environments.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, SIP, RTP/RTSP, MQTT, and telecom protocols.

Mansioni

• Manage end-to-end OnBoard Passenger & Information System (OBIS) and all subsystems.
• Configure OS, networks, services, and onboard devices.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and log analysis to resolve issues.
• Validate interfaces and data flows between onboard and wayside systems.
• Support field activities during testing, commissioning, and service introduction.
• Deploy software updates and health checks.
• Monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, software, telecom, and commissioning teams.
