NATO - North Atlantic Treaty Organisation's Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE) invites applications for Scientist (Quantum) in the MUSE team, focusing on quantum science and security scenarios in maritime settings. The role conducts experimental QST work, publishes in journals, and participates in NATO workshops and multi-national projects; deployment on CMRE vessels possible.
A MSc with 5+ years or PhD with 2+ years in physics/engineering is required; English language
Competenze
- Demonstrated expertise in QST applications to maritime security/defence.
- Experience in QST experimental activities in labs and field; quantum communications/photons.
- Experience in free-space/underwater quantum optics.
- Strong research methodologies and experimental design knowledge.
Mansioni
- Support QST investigations within the MUSE PoW.
- Define security scenarios using QST in maritime contexts.
- Publish articles in peer‑reviewed journals and internal reports.
- Organize NATO workshops and participate in Multi‑National Projects.
- Collaborate with CMRE projects across domains.
