Amazon's AWS Center for Quantum Computing seeks an Applied Scientist to conduct theoretical research into fault-tolerant quantum algorithms and develop new quantum algorithms. You will work with theoretical and experimental scientists, engineers, and technicians across the Center for Quantum Computing to advance quantum technology.

You will publish papers, mentor interns, and communicate developments to the broader quantum computing team, while analyzing, optimizing, and proposing novel quantum

Competenze

• PhD in operations research, applied mathematics, theoretical computer science, or equivalent.
• Publications in top-tier conferences or journals.
• Experience in algorithms, data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel & distributed computing, or high-performance computing.
• Experience driving collaborative projects from conception to delivery.

• Collaborate with team to analyze and optimize existing quantum algorithms.
• Invent new quantum algorithms and identify new application areas for fault-tolerant quantum computers.
• Provide subject matter expertise on quantum algorithms and communicate developments to the team.
• Work with stakeholders to strengthen long-term value of quantum computing.
• Interact with Quantum Error Correction team to understand interplay with algorithms.
