Ingersoll Rand’s La Spezia site is seeking a Quality Control Specialist/Quality Engineer to ensure the quality control of finished and semi-finished products, guaranteeing compliance with specifications and standards.

The role involves inspecting products, interpreting drawings, documenting results, managing non-conformities, and supporting audits. The candidate should have strong knowledge of inspection tools, ISO 9001, and be fluent in English.

• Proficient with technical drawings, tolerances and mechanical assemblies.
• Knowledge of metallurgical materials and their properties.

• Strong Excel and MS Office skills for data handling.

Job Summary

Ensure the quality control of finished and semi-finished products, guaranteeing compliance with specified requirements and applicable standards.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate methodologies and inspection equipment to properly perform inspections and testing activities;
• Apply suitable methods to verify the conformity of finished and semi-finished products;
• Review and verify self-inspection records received from Production;
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection plans to perform quality verification activities;
• Record work activities and inspection results using the appropriate technical documentation;
• Use manual and computerized measuring instruments required to perform inspections and quality checks;
• Apply company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements related to quality control activities and measuring equipment management;
• Monitor compliance with quality requirements throughout the various stages of the production process;
• Manage and record non-conformities identified during incoming, in-process, and final inspections;
• Analyze the root causes of internal and external non-conformities using structured methodologies;
• Monitor quality performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare related reports;
• Support internal audits, customer audits, and third-party certification audits;
• Collaborate in the implementation and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions arising from non-conformities, audits, and customer complaints.

Basic Qualifications

• Good knowledge of technical drawings, dimensional tolerances, and mechanical assemblies;
• Knowledge of metallurgical materials and their properties;
• Ability to manage product-related technical documentation;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel;
• Knowledge of the main measuring instruments and inspection tools;
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment;
• Good command of the English language for both professional communication and technical documentation;
• Methodical approach and strong commitment to quality and accuracy;
• Knowledge of EN 10204 material certificates (2.2, 3.1, etc.);
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system principles;
• Experience in preparing dimensional inspection reports and quality dossiers;
• Knowledge of incoming material inspection processes.
