About our Ossana site

The role is located in our EHSQ Excellence site based in Ossona, Milano area, and is a essential member of our small, but impactful, team of professionals dedicated to the production of stabilizers systems, developed for a wide range of food applications.

What You Will Do

As Quality Assurance (QA) Assistant of our Plant, you will be joining the site quality team, providing support to the local QA activities. In specific, you will be supporting the maintenance of the management system by keeping updated the quality documentation and training material. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complaints and / or quality issues and prevent recurrences. You will support during internal and external audits.

General duties

• Provide support to the Quality team by developing training material for operational staff on quality standards as needed
• Contribute to quality documentation efforts, such as updating relevant forms, working instructions and standard operating procedures
• Support with the investigation and management of customer complaints, ingredient, blend deviations and any other type of quality related issues
• Support during inspection from the Health local Authority and the Veterinary Department
• Support during audits and visits from customers and Certification bodies
• Support in the application of all requirements for Non-GMO, VLOG, Halal and RSPO Certifications
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly Quality Departments reports (internal and external)
• Support in the preparation and update of the monitoring plans for ingredients and finished products
• Support with the request of veterinary certificates
• Support to Technical Quality team for the site quality documentation .

EHSQS accountabilities

• Responsible for Health and Safety in the workplace as worker pursuant to Legislative Decree 81 / 2008
• Participation in internal and external audits
• Support for the proper application of Product Protection Principles
• Support for the implementation of the rules for allergen management at the site
• Support in the creation and update of the relevant EHSQ documentation
• Support for the assurance of the conformity to the relevant Regulatory Requirements
• Support for the assurance of the correct application of the site security rules .

What We Are Looking For

• Secondary Technical School degree or Bachelor's degree in Food, Chemical or similar disciplines
• Italian mother tongue or excellent spoken, and good spoken and written English language ability.
• Experience within QA with preference in food industry (minimum 1 year)
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Legal requirements (D.Lgs. 81 / 2008)
• Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (IFS, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMPs)
• Understanding of processes within Food and or Chemical Industry
• Ability to use IT systems (Office, SAP).
• Ability to work with cross- functional teams
• Good organizational and prioritization skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• A high degree of personal motivation with a desire to make an immediate contribution.
