Job summary

Beefree is seeking a QA Engineer for a 12-month maternity cover, working in a Shift-Left framework to ensure software quality from the start of development. You will design functional and exploratory tests, and develop automated end-to-end tests using Cypress, integrating with the team’s QA infrastructure.

Beefree is looking for a QA Engineer to join our team for a 12-month maternity cover.

Working within a Shift-Left approach, you’ll collaborate with the team from the earliest stages of development to ensure software quality through functional and automated end-to-end testing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze functional and technical requirements early in the development lifecycle
• Design and execute functional and exploratory tests
• Develop and maintain automated end-to-end tests (we use Cypress)
• Identify, report, and track bugs through to resolution
• Collaborate daily with developers and product teams

Requirements

• Previous experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies
• Familiarity with Agile environments and Shift-Left testing
• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills
• Team-player attitude and good communication skills
• Use of AI for test generation and quality assurance, including the maintenance and continuous improvement of the related setup (prompts, configurations, and integrations).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Cypress or similar automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium
• Experience with the Shape Up methodology
• Experience applying AI tools to software testing and quality assurance
