The role focuses on sourcing materials, evaluating samples, and guiding vendor selections to ensure timely product development and cost-efficient supply chains.

• Experience in materials sourcing and supplier management.
• Ability to negotiate pricing and manage vendor relationships.
• Experience coordinating with QA/QC and R&D teams.
• Strong project management and independent working capabilities.

Responsible for materials sourcing work from sample development, vendor recommendations and selection; works closely with vendors during production process to resolve issues; negotiates with vendors on pricing to satisfy customer/corporate margin expectations; drives raw material/ trim development process in accordance with timelines for product development; coordinates amongst QA/QC, technical service and compliance to ensure timeline is met; proposes cost-effective ways for material sourcing based on the latest technologies and trends; supports in research & development of new materials. A Professional 3 applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typical include: Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.. Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
