La figura ideale avrà una laurea in Ingegneria Civile e almeno 10 anni di esperienza nella gestione di progetti complessi. Oversee and manage the processes for the demolition, civil construction for a large-scale new steel plant.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the civil works and demolition aspects of the steelworks project, ensuring alignment with project goals, safety standards, and environmental considerations.
  • Oversee and manage multiple concurrent work packages, ensuring the timely and quality execution of civil and technological construction tasks.
  • Manage and coordinate a variety of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, quality specifications, and safety standards.
  • Ensure that all demolition, civil, and construction activities meet environmental regulations, including managing construction waste, implementing recycling strategies, and minimizing environmental impact.
  • Work closely with the project's legal, environmental, and permitting teams to ensure that all activities meet the necessary permit and regulatory requirements. Act as a liaison with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure that all civil works meet the project's strict quality standards, conducting regular inspections and audits to monitor progress and resolve issues proactively.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage the project schedule, ensuring that deadlines are met. Work with the cost controller to manage the budget, tracking costs and identifying potential savings.
  • Manage the recycling and treatment of construction waste, ensuring that the project meets sustainability goals while complying with all regulatory requirements related to waste disposal and recycling.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the demolition, civil, and technological construction phases of the project. Ensure a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the civil engineering and construction teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and excellence.
  • Regularly support the Construction Manager in reporting on project progress to senior management and key stakeholders, providing updates on milestones, risks, budget, and timelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Deep understanding of permitting processes and regulatory compliance, particularly in industrial construction projects.
  • Proficient with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in managing large, multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (HSE), with a track record of promoting safety and compliance on construction sites.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in project management with a strong background in civil construction, particularly in large industrial or steelworks projects.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple contractors, large-scale civil construction activities, and multi-faceted projects.
  • Solid experience in managing complex environmental requirements, including waste management, recycling, and sustainable construction practices.
