Overview

Position: Senior Project Manager – C&I Solar

Department: EPC Construction

Location: Milan, Italy

We are a leading international renewable energy company, present across four continents, specializing in both self-consumption and large-scale solar PV installations. Since 2007, we have driven sustainable development through our commitment to innovation, quality, and environmental responsibility.

As we continue to grow in the Italian market, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our EPC team in Milan, focusing on Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar PV projects across the Lombardy region. This role requires proven experience managing large industrial rooftop PV systems, typically 400/500 kW, on commercial or industrial buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead C&I solar projects from development handover through to commissioning, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in scope
• Conduct site surveys to assess structural and electrical feasibility, rooftop conditions, and connection points
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to review client documentation and optimize system design and bill of materials
• Support in the preparation and continuous monitoring of detailed project budgets
• Develop and maintain project timelines and programme of works (PoW)
• Supervise and coordinate site engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensure adequate resource allocation and site presence
• Drive project execution with a strong focus on QHSE compliance and best practices
• Draft and manage supplier and subcontractor contracts
• Prepare and deliver regular progress reports for both internal and client stakeholders
• Identify project risks and proactively resolve site issues in collaboration with field teams
• Manage relationships with clients, local authorities, and third-party stakeholders
• Oversee project handover to the Operations & Maintenance team
• Actively participate in internal process improvements and cross-functional collaboration

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering
• Fluent in Italian (native level) and professional English proficiency
• Minimum 4 years of experience in PV construction management, with solid exposure to C&I installations
• Proven track record delivering large industrial rooftop systems (400/500 kW)
• Strong understanding of PV design, grid connections, permitting, and execution
• Confident with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and budgeting
• Desirable: Familiarity with BESS solutions
• Availability to travel within Lombardy to visit various project sites
• Spanish skills are a plus, though not mandatory
