Competenze

Location: Castellanza, Italy

We are looking for a professional Project Manager to join our company. The candidate will be responsible for managing the operations perimeter in its entirety.

He/She will lead a cross‑functional team to ensure engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain validation targets have been met for each change.

The candidate will be ultimately responsible for factory readiness and successful tactical implementation of the program into production. The person will also constantly communicate with the Site Manager and Operation Manager by organizing and planning site construction work and start‑up activities up to receiving of the acceptance certificate from the Customer.

The ideal candidate will manage contractual and negotiation aspects of orders, interact constantly with customers and suppliers, define the planning and execution strategy, and coordinate progress of engineering, procurement, and production activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the project in accordance with Company Procedures.
  • Implement the Project Execution plan, including quality, safety, cost, time, and resources.
  • Conduct effective project meetings with the client and stakeholders to ensure strong business relationships.
  • Provide project reporting and status updates.
  • Manage subcontractors for procurement and erection on site.
  • Identify and manage project risks (Risk Management Process).
  • Represent the company in front of clients, licensors, and partners, managing contractual aspects and negotiating potential change orders.
  • Coordinate progress of engineering, procurement, and construction activities to meet contractual goals.
  • Plan and organize, in coordination with the Operation Manager and Site Manager, site start‑up according to the contract.
  • Manage claim prevention with Customer and Suppliers.
  • Lead the project team.
  • Achieve project targets (safety, time, performance, quality, and cost) and company targets.
  • Build a Project Executive Budget, shared and formalized with the BU Direction.
  • Take care of Project P&L under his/her authority and ensure profitability and expected cash flow positions.
  • Identify, submit, and approve change orders, and administer related documentation.
  • Verify progress status through periodic reports, identify delays, and determine corrective actions.
Required Profile
  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Management, Electronic, and Automation).
  • 5+ years of experience as Project Manager in complex industrial applications.
  • Experience in international turnkey projects, EPCM, and ESS for the steel and metallurgical industry is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of commercial principles, legislation, and standards.
  • Proficiency in advanced PC tools; Autodesk (AutoCad, Inventor) knowledge is a must.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
  • Organizational capabilities, planning and controlling skills, customer orientation, results orientation, problem‑solving, and people management.
  • Good knowledge of English, written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel.
