Responsibilities

• Participation in internal project kick-offs (KOM) to capture technical contractual information for project development;
• Review and application of technical client specifications and internal standards;
• Coordination of mechanical design of plant systems for O&G and Ecology applications, interfacing with internal specialists (electro-instrumentation) and external suppliers (structural, piping, and mechanical drawing specialists);
• Primary coordination and interface of project engineering with all internal functions, providing technical guidance in interpreting project technical requirements;
• Detail engineering execution according to project schedule and milestones, including: creation and mechanization of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs); coordination and preparation of main project documents including plant layout drawings, steel structures drawings, piping supports, isometrics and other construction drawings from issue to customer approval; progress reviews including 3D plant model review; preparation of Material Requisitions; review of construction drawings for fabrication in-house or by external suppliers; definition of the Bill Of Material (BOM) with coding and entry into the ERP system.
• Quality assurance of project engineering activities through internal checklists and reviews;
• Participation in internal project briefings, interfacing with different departments: electrical/instrumentation team, Project Manager, Purchasing, and Workshop;
• Participation in technical alignment meetings with Clients and/or support for bid preparation handled by the dedicated office;
• Direct contact with suppliers for definition and selection of main plant components (fans, steam boilers, silencers, SCR packages, Scrubber, Quencher, etc.);
• Management of external engineering vendors, both local and international (LC Engineering Center);
• Preparation of AS BUILT at project end, incorporating feedback from the workshop or site, contributing to continuous improvement of company processes;
• Management of non-conformities related to engineering with direct contribution to corrective actions for the benefit of the entire team.

Qualifications

• Laurea Specialistica or equivalente in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, chemical, energy, or industrial);
• Experience in the O&G sector and in the PE role for at least 5 years;
• Ability to work independently and in a team;
• Ability to work on multi-tasking while ensuring punctual deliveries;
• Analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to understand technical documentation: construction drawings, plant schematics, layouts;
• Knowledge of one or more 3D plant modeling visualization tools;
• Knowledge of CAD 2D programs (Autocad);
• Good knowledge of the Office package, particularly Excel;
• Good proficiency in written and spoken English.
