This Position reports to:

Project Operations Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will act as the responsible engineer for project with different level of complexity: Engineering discipline leader on small projects or portions of larger projects. You will complete engineering assignments efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

• Engineering development of protection relays and control systems
• Programming project-specific applications efficiently and meeting customer requirements, ensuring proper functionality and interfacing to other systems.
• You will carry out acceptance testing (FAT and SAT) of Protection and Control systems in cooperation with other colleagues and customers, following the health and safety regulations.
• You are also responsible of creating and reviewing technical customer documentation for your projects.
• You will participate in the commissioning of the application on customer sites.
• This position offers you excellent opportunities to develop as an expert in protection and control products and systems.

Qualifications for the Role

• Diploma in a technical field, preferably in Electrical or Automation. A Bachelor's or Master's degree is considered a plus.
• Good general working knowledge on HMIs, PLCs and I/Os, preferably with ABB products, as well on Windows-based operating systems
• Understanding of control system topologies and communication protocols
• You work well both independently and as a part of a team. You seek solutions actively, instead of focusing on problems
• Interaction with both customers and other ABB team is an important part of this job
• You are at ease communicating in italian and have a good command of English
• Willingness to travel is required to some extent, to ensure successful completion of the delivery projects
