We are looking for a Project Assembly, Integration and Test Operations Manager. The AIT Operations Manager is the primary link between the AIT Department and the PMO of the specific program assigned. This puts the person in charge of all the necessary coordination within the AIT Department to ensure adequate staffing of the activities, as well as leading the effort on a day-to-day basis to ensure that the program milestones are achieved on time, and within the budget assigned. The staff that the AIT Operations Manager will lead and coordinate can vary in size between 4-5 people up to large teams in excess of 20 people, depending on the size and scope of the Program, as well as its maturity stage. In charge of a team with competencies in all AIT fields to ensure timely and on-cost delivery of the spacecraft or related subsystem.

Tasks included:
  • management of the day-to-day activities in AIT
  • scheduling, cost planning, reporting to Program Management and to own hierarchy
  • liaison with other company entities
  • liaison with the final customer during planned major reviews and outstanding NRBs or exceptional meetings
  • offer preparation for the AIT Activities part: drafting of WPDs and budgets in Hours and Non-Labor, coordination of the feasibility excercises w.r.t the proposed architecture, commitment to the budget proposed in the execution phase
  • coordination of Launch Campaign satellite activities as SPM (Satellite Preparation Manager)
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of experience within the Assembly, Integration and Test environment, with a preference for the preparation and execution of complex system tests (e.g. T/VAC, EMC, Integrated System / Subsystem Tests).
  • Flight Hardware Testing: environmental tests, integrated system/subsystem tests
  • System Engineering
  • Depending on program scope, availability to travel abroad within Europe as well as to potential Launch Sites (French Guyana, USA, Russia) for periods of up to 2/3 months
  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Fluency in French is an asset.
