Program Manager at e-GEOS

e-GEOS, an ASI (20%) / Telespazio (80%) company subject to the joint direction and coordination of Leonardo S.p.A and Thales S.A, is a leading international player in the Earth Observation (EO) and Geo-Spatial Information business offering a unique portfolio of application services.

We are looking for a Program Manager in the Roma plant.

The selected candidate will support the Programmes Unit throughout the entire project life cycle and contribute to the preparation of new bids and tenders identified by the Programmes Unit Manager for business development purposes.

In particular, the resource will be responsible for developing the integrated planning of project activities and resource allocation, in line with Programmes Unit Manager directives, while ensuring compliance with budget constraints and contractual timelines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage project management activities for both small and large-scale national and international projects in the field of Earth Observation services, addressing both Civil and Defense customers.
  • Monitor project and programmes schedules, ensuring plan consistency and timely reporting on resource allocation.
  • Assess and periodically report KPIs relevant to Project and Contract Management.
  • Track physical progress against project milestones and report on workload, budget, and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate delivery activities in close collaboration with technical teams.
  • Report project outcomes, deviations, and potential risks to the Programmes Unit Manager, escalating issues as required according to the project work plan.
  • Interact with partners and stakeholders to ensure proper coordination of tender and project activities.
  • Monitor and report on project risk assessments and mitigation actions.
  • Prepare Minutes of Meeting and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals for tenders.
Education
  • Master Degree in Business Administration or STEM discipline (with project management experience)
Seniority

  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing technical reports, publications, and proposals for tenders.
  • Experience in communicating and coordinating effectively with a variety of stakeholders and partners.

  • Experience in EO systems, EO supply chain with particular focus on downstream and Geospatial Information Technology is a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language.
  • Knowledge of a second language is welcome.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to evolving customer priorities and organizational needs.
  • Strong ability to withstand heavy work responsibilities due to project deadlines.
Other
  • Availability to travel outside Europe during the execution of the projects, when needed.
  • Availability to undergo Security Clearance dependent upon the security requirements for the projects.
  • PMP, PM2, ITIL or similar certifications welcome.
