Join Agilent’s High Performing Sales Team as a GC and GC / MS Product Specialist, where you’ll drive business growth by supporting all sales channels, maintaining key customer relationships, and collaborating across teams to strengthen our market position in Italy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and expand the GC and GC / MS business by supporting sales channels, helping close orders, and ensuring a motivated and well-trained sales force.
  • Maintain close relationships with Agilent’s key accounts, building a strong network of collaborators and partners to foster business growth.
  • Manage the GC and GC / MS sales funnel with a clear understanding of the competitive landscape using internal tools.
  • Support and actively contribute to GC and GC / MS-related marketing activities, proposing and implementing local marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with other business areas, including software, liquid phase, and service teams, to ensure cohesive commercialization strategies and workflows.

For this role, you will be working remotely combined with travel to customer sites across Italy (a company car will be available to you). You can be based anywhere in the country, however we do have a preference for candidates located around Rome (Lazio).

Qualifications

We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:

  • University Degree in Life Sciences (Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or equivalent).
  • Strong expertise of Gas Chromatography (GC) and Mass Spectrometry (MS) techniques, including sample prep and applications.
  • Significant experience in a similar position OR as an end user of the technologies described above.
  • Experience with Agilent software platforms such as ChemStation, OpenLab, and MassHunter Quant / Qual, including validation and basic chemometrics, would be a strong advantage.
  • Good understanding of GC / MS technologies and workflows in key markets such as Food Safety, Environmental, Forensics, Metabolomics, and Pharma.
  • Fluent in both Italian and English.

You also have great communication skills to interact with many internal and external partners. While being flexible and adaptable, you have strong planning, organizational and time management skills.

This job has a full-time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
