Are you an enthusiastic and self-driven Product Sales Manager ready to pursue new and exciting challenges? Do you enjoy versatile, flexible with wide-ranging duties?

We are looking for a Product Sales Manager to join our global Paper Machine Clothing (PMC) team and support the growth of the paper industry. Our solutions help customers improve productivity, reduce operating costs, save energy, and enhance product quality.

As Product Sales Manager, you will be based in Lucca and responsible for developing and managing the PMC business in your area. Your mission will be to drive profitable growth, increase sales volumes, and build strong, long-term customer relationships.

Valmet provides complete fabric solutions for Paper & Board, Tissue, and Pulp Dryer machines. Your product portfolio will include forming fabrics, press felts, belts, and dryer fabrics—all designed to improve process performance, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

This role combines commercial and technical responsibilities. You will be actively involved in field service activities such as on-site measurements, technical evaluations, reporting, and customer recommendations.

Your Responsibilities
  • Promoting and selling Valmet’s PMC products and providing technical sales support.
  • Visiting existing and potential customers to meet sales targets (3-4 days/week).
  • Negotiating prices and delivery terms within your authority and closing sales orders.
  • Understanding customer needs and recommending suitable solutions.
  • Identifying new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with current customers.
  • Sharing customer feedback and market insights with internal teams to support strategic decisions.
Who is the professional we are looking for?
To Succeed In This Role, You Should Have
  • Technical knowledge of papermaking processes and industrial fabrics.
  • Proven experience in customer service, sales, or account management—ideally in a mill environment.
  • A degree in Chemical Engineering, Production, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in sales, preferably in a multinational context.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.
  • Flexibility and Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive attitude, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Organizational skills and resilience under pressure.
  • A team-oriented mindset and a passion for solving technical challenges.
