Product Manager Role
The product manager will set vision, prioritize work, and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality products that meet both business and user needs. The role focuses on the entire product lifecycle from conception to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product development lifecycle, reviewing priorities and goals
- Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales to align on strategy
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities
- Communicate product vision, status updates, and key decisions to ensure alignment
- Conduct usability testing, analyze user feedback, and iterate on product to improve UX
- Develop go‑to‑market strategies, create product documentation, and provide training
- Support sales team reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings
- Oversee product line strategy and execution across teams
- Facilitate collaboration and resolve conflicts within and across departments
Qualifications
- Exceptional academic results at high school and university
- Strong understanding of Linux and open source community
- Knowledge of computer architecture, apps, datacenters, cloud, or devices
- Passion for writing about technologies and the tech landscape
- Strong work ethic and alignment with open source movement
- Curiosity and habit of continuous learning
- Strong sense of ownership and problem‑solving skills
- Outstanding English communication (verbal and written)
- For senior roles: product management experience in software industry
- Ability to manage multiple projects or product lines while maintaining focus on key priorities
- Demonstrated leadership in aligning diverse teams and driving consensus
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 4 times a year for company events up to two weeks long
Additional Skills We Value
